The Art of Hospitality: Welcome to the Quality Inn & Suites of Val-d’Or

Par Andrée-Anne Mainville, en collaboration avec le Quality Inn et Suites de Val-d'Or

You are in the Vallée-de-l'Or and and you are looking for a location where to drop your luggages, for a change of scenery, for good food… and feel truly welcomed? Quality Inn & Suites of Val-d’Or, a Cree hotel establishment, checks all of the boxes! Discover why this hotel stands out as an obvious choice.

A green shift commitment well underway for the Quality Inn & Suites of Val-d’Or

Since last year, the Quality Inn & Suites has begun an inspiring process towards a more sustainable future. By questioning their methods, the hotel has committed to act concretely to reduce its ecological footprint! Indeed, it thus received the Clé Verte (Green Key) Certification, an award given to hotel establishments integrating sustainable development principles to their everyday activities: responsible sourcing, employment accessibility, good working conditions, involvement within the community and even more.

This shift was recognized recently during the Gala de l’Entreprise (Business Gala) of the Chambre de Commerce de Val-d’Or (Val-d’Or’s Chamber of Commerce), where the hotel was awarded a prize for its actions related to this project. Among the concrete actions taken, we can underline the donation of furniture, materials and textiles to local communities and organisms, instead of sending everything to the landfill. Even the food residues are revalued.

Conscious of the constant evolution of the ecological transition process, the hotel keeps going forward in humility and ambition, always on the lookout for new ways to do better.

A caring welcome and a comfort that feels good

As soon as you pass the doorway, you are welcomed with a smile… a true, heartwarming smile that determines the tone of your stay at the hotel. The staff is caring, available, and always ready to lend a hand, recommend a great restaurant or even to chat for a few minutes.

And this good impression extends to the rooms. Spacious, modern and inviting, the rooms are thought so you can relax completely. The beds are absolutely comfortable, perfect for a great night of sleep after a long drive of a full day of activities.

The Market (Le Marché), a practical accomplice

It’s often in the small details that we can recognize a great stay, and it’s in that optic that the Market has been thought to cater to your needs when the stores are closed, when it’s late, or even when you forgot an essential when you packed your luggage.

You will find at the Market the hygienic essentials, but also a great selection of food items and beverages: frozen meals, sandwiches, salads, all kinds of snacks, a variety of beverages, wine and even beer!

A true corner store, always open, which makes the unexpected needs easier to manage.

The happiness is in the brunch

In the morning, the well garnished buffet awaits you in a luminous dining room, to kickstart your day the right way. You can have eggs, crispy bacon, golden browned sausages, fresh fruits and there is even a station where you can make your own waffles and cover them with syrup if you feel like it!

The cooks are generous, catering to your well-being… and frankly funny. A great dose of good moods in the morning makes all the difference in your day.

Moreover, what would a good brunch be without a coffee? Latté, cappuccino, expression… you can serve yourself according to your mood at the moment. And, if you are in a rush, or if you are heading back on the road, you can take it out with you so you can prolong the pleasure (and benefits) of caffeine along the way.

The Quality Inn & Suites of Val-d’Or, an address where it feels good to stop by… and that we will wish to rediscover again.

Whether you are on an excursion in Vallée-de-l'Or or stopping by for work, the Quality Inn & Suites of Val-d’Or offers comfort, care and authenticity. And soon, even more. Indeed, an enlargement is underway and many great surprises are planned for 2026. Stay in touch… It's promising!
