I recently stayed at the Centre Hôtelier Deville in Rouyn-Noranda, and I must admit that the stay lived up to my expectations.
A Convenient and Peaceful Location
I immediately loved the location. The hotel is one street over from the downtown main street. I was able to dine at a nearby restaurant for dinner, without having to use my car, enjoy great food and a delicious espresso martini, before coming back to the quiet comfort of my hotel room. The large parking and the convenient drop-off zone made things even easier, no need to play Tetris with your car.
A warm first impression
When I came in, I was welcomed into a bright common area with a modern fireplace. Honestly, I said to myself: "If I sit down here for too long, I’ll fall asleep before even getting to see my room." The atmosphere is friendly, and the staff was so attentive that I almost felt like I was being welcomed into a friend’s home (a friend who folds your sheets and makes sure your breakfast is ready in the morning!)

A room designed for both rest and work
My room was exactly what I hoped for: a comfortable bed you can slide into like a cloud, and a practical work desk for those who, like me, intended to get some work done on their computer… before eventually opting for a short Netflix series instead. In short, the perfect room to relax and still feel productive.

The included breakfast truly made my life easier. There’s nothing better than starting the day without needing to head out to a restaurant. The free parking also helped me avoid the usual downtown parking puzzle. I also discovered that the hotel offers modular meeting rooms that can adapt to your needs, as well as catering service, a great option I’ll keep in mind for future business trips.
