Microtel Inn & Suites Val-d’Or : Comfort and Fun for Everyone

During Spring Break, I decided to go on a trip with my nieces (15 and 18 years old). A little girls’ trip so we could disconnect a little. We decided to drop our luggages at the Microtel Inn & Suites Val-d’Or, and frankly, it was a very good idea!

A warm welcome

As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the heartwarming staff. The ambiance is friendly and the accommodation is perfect for families, no matter their composition. The hotel has everything to please its guests: a pool with a large toboggan to have fun and a spa, ideal for relaxation. I must admit that it all helped us to sleep like rocks! Also, there is a well-equipped gym for those who wish to stay in shape, on holidays or on a business trip.

A good breakfast to begin the day

Breakfast wise, the hotel does it well. We are far from the minimalist continental breakfast of the individually-wrapped-muffin-closer-to-be-a-cake type! Here, we can enjoy crepes, french toasts, hard-boiled eggs, cereals, fruits, toasts, bagels and yogurt. More than enough to start the day correctly, according to our moment’s desires! Oh! And the breakfast is included with the room fees.

Well-thought rooms

Other positive aspect: pets are accepted. The rooms are well-thought. Some even have a kitchenette with a sink, a fridge and a coffee maker, as well as a small living room with a sofa-bed. In fact, it’s where my nieces slept while I enjoyed an ultra comfortable king-sized bed - because there must be perks to being an adult!

An ideal location to discover Val-d’Or

Also, the location of the hotel is a big plus. We are close to downtown and to many activities like the Touki Parc, for the younger children families, the VOART exhibition center and the different festivals. The outdoors’ lovers will find their match with the Forêt Récréative and the Bleu Blanc Bouge ice rink nearby.

To conclude, whether it is with your family, your friends or for a business trip, I recommend the Microtel Inn & Suites Val-d’Or without hesitation. A comfortable stay, well located and adapted to everyone!
