Days get longer, festivals are coming over and the campings sites fill up with laughter. This year will not be the exception. We could even say that it starts strong. Here is what awaits you during the Summer of 2025 in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Summer 2025 marks the valorization of the "Get Lost!" circuit, an invitation to dive head first into our vast spaces. Between the Réserve Faunique La Vérendrye (La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve), the Parc National d’Opémican (d’Opemican National Park) and the Parc National d’Aiguebelle (d’Aiguebelle National Park), the SÉPAQ gems will wow you on this circuit.

Expect to be welcomed by raw landscapes with thousands of lakes and a nature that soothes you. Each and every one of the SÉPAQ’s protected territories offers a different panorama and ambiance. The Parc National d’Opémican is known for its paddle-friendly courses and its camping. The Parc National d’Aiguebelle is a must for hiking. Then, the Réserve Faunique La Vérendrye is a wide and wild territory far away from cities and towns where camping, navigating and fishing make you feel good. Special mention to the highly awaited return of the suspended bridge of the La Traverse trail at Aiguebelle. Yes, finally, it is back!

By the way, if you wish to explore the Parc National d’Opémican, a brand new canoe-camping package has been added to the park’s offer. The course will take you on the Rivière Kipawa (Kipawa River), between the small Lac Laniel (Lake Laniel) and the three Lacs des Portages Sauvages (Lakes des Portages Sauvages). There are four different spots set up to assemble your tent (up to six people, or two tents by location). The course is for paddling pros, but also for casual adventurers.
