Who are we?

Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue’s mandate is to welcome, promote and develop sustainable tourism experiences. It acts as a regional organization officially recognized by the Ministère du Tourisme du Québec under a memorandum of understanding.

With the support of its members and partners in the region, Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue puts its expertise at their service to develop the attractiveness of its territory and offer unique and memorable experiences.

Media relations

TAT organizes press tours and prioritizes visits to members according to the media concerned and coverage needs. TAT responds daily to requests from journalists who wish to write an article on the region by sending photographs and information material.

Get access to the international marketing program

TAT is involved in networking activities with travel professionals in order to sell the region as a tourist destination on target markets (France, Belgium, the United States). This is another opportunity to position your business on these markets.

On-site business visits

Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue believes in the importance of connecting with its members to better understand their day-to-day realities. These visits are a valuable opportunity to listen to your needs, introduce the services offered by the regional tourism association (ATR), and highlight the positive impact these services can have on your operations.

Free brochure distribution at regional visitor information centres (BIT)
Referrals to your business in response to phone, mail, or email inquiries

Marketing and Communications

Preferential rates for promotional campaigns

Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue leads targeted promotional campaigns designed to attract more visitors to member businesses. These advertising opportunities are available in the official regional travel guide, the Abitibi-Témiscamingue snowmobile trail map, and other marketing initiatives overseen by the association. Campaigns span a variety of media, including web, radio, television, and select print publications.

Intra-Quebec Representation

Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue also promotes the region at major events such as the Québec Snowmobile and ATV Show. This presence helps boost your visibility with targeted audiences, which can lead to increased interest and visits to your business.

Access to the Tourism Signage Program

As a member of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Regional Tourism Association, you may be eligible to install official blue tourism signs along regional roads to help visitors find your location more easily. Eligibility criteria apply.

Access to the Marketing Credit Program

Accommodation providers subject to the lodging tax (TSH) may qualify for marketing credits equal to 15% of the amount remitted to Revenu Québec. These credits can be applied to a range of promotional products and services.
