In Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue, the Fall landscape is marked by a vibrant color palette with a predominance of ochre yellow and greens from green moss to the very deep forest green. Our territory, during that season, offers a variety of activities that celebrate the richness of our nature and culture. We asked people from here to let us know what their favorite fall destinations are in Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fall-for-the-outdoors-lovers\">Fall for the outdoors lovers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Without a doubt, the most emblematic characteristic of Fall in Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue is the spectacular transformation of the boreal forest. To experience this fully, Bianca B\u00e9dard suggests a hike of her favorite trail, the Sentier du Grand H\u00e9ron (the Grand Heron Trail) in Macamic, which is sadly closed this year. Thus, she adds the <a href=\"https:\/\/abitibi-temiscamingue.org\/en\/attractions\/sentiers-opasatica\/\">trails of Lake Opasatica<\/a>, which she places ex \u00e6quo in her hard with the Grand Heron Trail. The season allows us to observe the fauna and flora under a new day, offering nature lovers the opportunity to live unforgettable moments. She precises that <em>&#8220;the variety of floristic species carries crazy color schemes. The view of the horizon, both feet on the rock formation, it\u2019s amazing. She also affirms that <em>&#8220;the cranberry picking, when we know where to go, is one of my favorite seasonal activities.&#8221;<\/em> On that topic, for those who are interested, know that wild cranberries grow in wetlands.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Finally, for Marie-Eve Sigouin, it\u2019s the mushroom picking that sparks her interest. In the forest of Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue, we can find many edible mushrooms, such as crab mushroom, different types of boletus, chanterelle, morel and many more. During highly windy days, the force of nature nests profoundly inside of [her].&#8221;<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is not the only one to source energy via lakes and rivers of the region because Melodie Rheault confides that in the Fall, she makes sure to have a final swim into fresh lake waters and warms up in the spa afterwards.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-it-s-still-time-to-stroll-around-on-a-bike\">It\u2019s still time to stroll around on a bike!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fall is also a great moment for <a href=\"https:\/\/accesstooutdoors.org\/canoe?q=&amp;activite%5B%5D=7&amp;activite%5B%5D=8\">canoe-kayak excursions<\/a> along the rivers and lakes, as well as for the bicycle excursions during which we can admire the picturesque Fall landscapes. To do so, St\u00e9phanie Poitras underlines that a must when it comes to Fall activities in Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue is a mountain bike ride at the <a href=\"https:\/\/abitibi-temiscamingue.org\/en\/attractions\/la-foret-recreative-de-val-dor\/\">For\u00eat R\u00e9cr\u00e9ative<\/a>. M\u00e9lissa Drainville precises that, in her opinion, the best soups can be found at the Sandwicherie of Val-d\u2019Or. Barbara Beranek affirms otherwise that the Caf\u00e9 C\u00e9ramique <a href=\"https:\/\/abitibi-temiscamingue.org\/cafe-ceramique-o-terrier-tout-ce-que-tu-dois-savoir\/\">\u00d4 Terrier<\/a> owns the secret for the best broth. One will have to test both to know who says the truth. <em>Quel dommage!<\/em><br><br>Randa Napky, for her part, loves her favorite delicacy: <a href=\"https:\/\/abitibi-temiscamingue.org\/en\/attractions\/les-becs-sucres-sales\/\">Becs Sucr\u00e9s Sal\u00e9s\u2019 mille-feuilles,<\/a> in Val-d\u2019Or. Said treats are served freshly made every Friday.
