Like the song says, we do not need much to be happy, especially at Le P\u2019tit Paradis\u2019 camping,<\/a> located in Saint-Eug\u00e8ne-de-Guigues, in the T\u00e9miscamingue area. The camping has been established at the heart of the community for about 48 years. RVs and tents are welcome, as well as campers seeking a cabin or cottage available for rental. Here is the short story of a stay in the P\u2019tit Paradis (Small Paradise).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A camping where felicity rhymes with simplicity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s be honest, the installation and removal of all of the camping apparatus is the main unpleasant task to do during a camping trip. Arriving at the beginning of the afternoon, we were lucky enough to set things up quickly so we could go and enjoy the lake. On the shores of Lac Cameron (Cameron Lake), the nice little cabin we booked offers both the comfort and the simplicity required to fully enjoy the surrounding nature. Since it already has bunk beds and mattresses, a fridge, a propane heater as well as necessary dishes, we did not have to plan these items in our luggages, to our great pleasure\u2026 We only had to plan our personal belongings, our food, and our bedding linens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sanitary facility, located right by the Reception Desk, remains available and meets any needs such a room would be expected to meet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A family trip at the P\u2019tit Paradis\u2019 camping<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During our stay. We had the pleasure to be accompanied by our canine goblin, Loki. For our greatest joy, the Camping Le P\u2019tit Paradis accepts dogs! Thus, the whole family could gather around the fireplace for dinner and complete the first night of the stay with a stomach full of marshmallows (except for Loki, of course, his dog food diet is maintained even while on vacations!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great number of nautical pleasures available<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a good night of sleep, we hastily put on our swimsuits to go explore the lake and its many islands. My partner rented a kayak on location. The process is simple and the amount of time for the rentals is at our own discretion. Moreover, the types of water crafts available are plenty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, with our safety vests for uniforms, we paddled towards the horizon of this Lac Cameron on kayaks and paddle boards. The excursion was very pleasing and the surface of the lake was as shiny as a mirror. Loki, the aquatic dog, decided to try out some water lilies in the middle of the lake. In order to succeed, a few dives were necessary. Luckily, canine safety vests come with a handy handle!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Refreshments and privacy at the P\u2019tit Paradis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once we got back onto firm land, we opted for a refreshing dip into the camping\u2019s above-ground pool. During the pandemic, the pool was accessible to only one family cell at a time. This formula pleased the customers so much it remained that way. For a one hour reservation, we were able to enjoy the blue waters privately, and snack on something deliciously orange.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The mini-putt: a precision activity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All of these activities made me sleepy. So I had a nap in the cabin while my companion did some reading outside, under the Sun. When I woke up at the end of the afternoon, I was fully energized and ready for a new adventure. We then chose the mini-putt as our backdrop for the rest of the day.
NThe challenge: a nine holes circuit of various levels of difficulty requiring precision skills as fine as the great jewelers\u2019 (I wonder if Scaro<\/a> is talented at mini-putt?!). After having accumulated one of the worst scores among the players there that night, I finally completed this adventure. Carl Carmoni\u2019s <\/a>ghost probably experienced some discomfort at the sight of my feats, but who cares, one cannot have every talent!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day ended in softness with another dinner easily made because of our installations. The next day, I woke up at 5:30AM. I took that opportunity to go and observe our nature softly waking up from Morpheus\u2019 arms. Loki and I went paddling one last time before getting ourselves busy with the task of packing up and going home. Our first stay at the P\u2019tit Paradis was truly pleasing and it will not be the last time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
